Han Gan was a Chinese painter during the Tang Dynasty. He was born into a poor family. As a young man, he was recognized by Wang Wei, a prominent poet. He studied hard, then he became a court painter. Han painted many portraits with Buddist and Daoist themes during his career, however, he is most  widely remenbered  for his paintings of horses.  Do you know how he became a master of horse painting?
